Since I decided to skip the afternoon session of the blogcamp I talked to a few bloggers around me and decided to spread some link love.
Sakshi Junejacame all the way from Mumbai for some link love from fellow bloggers and also for networking with bloggers.

My namesake Tarun Chandelthe guy who held the "time up" card for the speakers, one of the organizers of the event, seemed happy with the way the event progressed and graciously invited our group to start another thread of talks if there was enough content. Great job Tarun.

Puja Madan came in to feel the buzz of blogging in India and was accompanied with the video blogger team from techsutras.com

Interestingly a lot of corporate types and some old media types were in for learning how this blogging thing works. A few marketers trying to lure blogger's to their platforms for helping their viral marketing cause.

All in all a good learning experience for the lots of wannabe bloggers.

Blogcamppune currently has two threads running with sponsors hogging the limelight in both the rooms mostly because of lack of un-conferencing behavior from the audience, yours truly included. Right now most of the people are out in open. Lots of cameras from old media are rolling around. Lots of marketers apart from bloggers and wannabe bloggers are around. The lunch is good. Lot of bloggers don't seem to have a clue about the underlying Internet technologies. I wish someone more articulate will clear some of the FUD(fear, uncertainty and doubt) about Internet/Blogging during the afternoon threads.

Talk by Melody on dealing with negative comments and flaming and trolling and other 'evils' afflicting the world of blogging and their ill effects on your personal life. Yawn!!!
This turned out to be one of the most controversial talk in the meet with lot of conflicting ideas people have about copyrights, stealing and user generated content dharma. Melody quoted a few incidents in the blogosphere involving flamewars on the blogs and how to contain them. All in all the talk was targeted at new bloggers and full of advice on how not to incite passions and become center of flame-wars and the importance of owning up your mistakes on your blog and cooling down tempers. She also quoted another example of a stalker and some tips on strategy used by another blogger to get rid of the online stalker.
