Yet another attempt to start writing regularly on a bare-bones blog.
After more than two decades of watching technology being built and deployed at scale, one gets a different perspective. Often see demand before it becomes a headline. That’s the lens I’ll try to bring here — but not as an authority. Just one person thinking out loud, in public, and willing to be wrong. This isn’t meant to be the highest paid person’s opinion. Just one random person thinking in public and willing to be wrong.
I’ll write in simple words about what current technology makes possible, and what its second-order effects might be. About its economics sometimes.
Some things that look impossible are really just improbable — waiting for the right infrastructure, cost curve or adoption.
I also want to look at what technology-led change means for nations, societies, businesses and individuals, and what we should do differently to prepare for it.
